This exceptional load was pictured in a lay-by near McVeighs restaurant in the Glens of Foudland on Friday 4th March 2005.

Picture shows part of a windmill waiting for conveyance to the windfarm site, which is up the hill opposite Bainshole, about 1 mile further north on the A96. This is Aberdeenshire's first windfarm costing £15 million with 22 turbines planned.

The parts for the windmills
are stockpiled at Aberdeen
Harbour and are moved to
the site, along the A96
under Police escort.
