THE 'SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER' DOCKED AT INVERGORDON 05-09-2007

This cruise ship is the penultimate visitor to Invergordon this year. Weighing
in at 41,827 tons this ship has capacity for 500 passengers. Arriving at 0900 and
    departed at 1800. The majority of these liners will now cruise around the warmer
     climes of the Mediterranean until May next year when they will return. The final
       visitor is the 'Astor' on 19th September. So ends another season of a wide variety
of cruise liners visiting the deep water facility at Invergordon.

WINDMILLS IN THE DISTANCE NEAR HUNTLY AND IN THE GLENS OF FOUDLAND
These Windmill farms are popping up everywhere. At the extreme right you
can just make out the relay T.V. mast at Gartly Moor. Lots of trees have been
felled in the forests. This Panorama shows the power of the 10 times optical
zoom on the Fuji S5600 which has resulted in a very large area view. New
software, recently purchased, has improved the quality of the Panoramas.
           There are 360 round bales of hay in the field. Lots to see in this view. Enjoy.

KEITH AS SEEN FROM A HIGH POINT UP PAST ARDIOCH AND FOLLOWSTERS FARMS

In this, the widest Panorama to date, we have a overview of Keith. Places to spot
in this view are Ben Rinnes, Tap O' Noth, The Institute Clock Tower and the Dome
of the Catholic Chapel in Keith which lies nestling in the valley. A slightly hazy
     September afternoon detracts a little from the view but anyone who is acquaint with
the surrounding area will recognise a lot more of the features than what has been

THE OLD CEMETERY AND 'AULD BRIG' IN KEITH PICTURED ON 1st OCTOBER 2007

The 'Auld Brig' was built in 1609 by Thomas Murray and his wife and reputed to
be in memory of their son who was drowned while trying to cross the river Isla.
Also in this picture are various large Epitaph's in the Old Cemetery, one in
particular in memory of a daughter of the owner of Earlsmount at that time, who
tragically died in ****. The Epitaph was placed in a position so that the Father
      of the deceased daughter could observe the Epitaph from a window at Earlsmount.
          The A96 road and the Union Bridge is just visible through the foliage at the far right.

AREA AROUND CAIRNIE TAKEN ON FRIDAY 13th OCTOBER 2007

The most prominent feature on this skyline is the Knock hill rising to some 430
metres ( 1300 feet ). Lots of crofts and larger farms can be spotted in the surrounding
area. On the extreme left of the picture the Balloch hill is levelling out onto the valley.
Also to find in the picture is the small bridge, over which I travelled to get to this point,
which crosses the main Aberdeen to Inverness railway line. Aberdeen would be to the
right of picture, approximately 45 miles distance, and Inverness to the left of picture

A LOOK OUT TO SEA FROM A HIGH POINT IN CULLEN

This is a view taken from a high point in Cullen on a nice clear day in March 2008.
Looking to the left the large viaduct can be clearly seen as a reminder of what used
to be when trains ran all round the coast. The old part of Cullen with the decidedly
quaint houses can be seen reflecting the bygone age of fishing and close neighbours.
In the far distance, across the water, the hills of the 'Black Isle' with snow still visible.
