A VIEW of the  FOCHABERS BY-PASS FROM THE NEWLY ALIGNED B9104 TO SPEY BAY

After 50 years the long awaited Fochabers by-pass is at last under construction.
On the left of picture is the view looking towards Elgin. On the extreme right of
the picture are the signs for Spey Bay etc. on the existing A96, which carries on
up the Dramlachs to Keith.

When the image appears on your screen allow the mouse pointer to hover over the picture. If a "+" appears, left click and the scren will fill with a larger picture. AN EXTENDED VIEW OF THE STRATHISLA VALLEY

An extended view overlooking an area of the Strathisla valley at a high point
on the unclassified road from Glentauchers Distillery over the hill to Drummuir.
The view starts on the left with a view of the Knock hill at Grange and follows
the valley all the way up to and beyond Tenaton at Drummuir. The Isla river
(unseen) travels all the way from it's source at the Loch Park at Drummuir,
down this valley, through Keith and onto Rothiemay where it joins the River
Deveron which enters the sea at Banff.

THE HILL OF TOWIE WINDFARM

Following on from the above picture, extensive operations are in hand, preparing
for wind turbines to be erected on the Hill of Towie near the unclassified road from
Glentauchers to Drummuir. Access for the contractors vehicles and crews, preparing
the bases for the wind turbines, is from the Mulben side at Rosarie. Operations are
also ongoing at the other side of the road at the summit of Machatties Cairn where
a further selection of wind turbines will be erected.
